  • Education
    Mike was born and raised in Norfolk, and is still a fan of Norwich City Football Club.

    He studied music at Sheffield University winning the Philip Blake Prize for composition.
    Mike has been a Director of Music in three schools, Bentham Grammar, The Chase (Malvern) and most recently Kent College, Pembury.
    Many of Mike's students have gone on to study music and to make it their career.
  • Family
    Mike is happily married to Sarah Kent-Davies. They got married on the Queen Victoria in 2015.
    • Sarah and Zack
      Sarah is a fellow trombonist, which is how we met.
      Like me, Zack is a #NCFC fan. Zack is also very much into aviation photography.
    • Lisa Kent-Davies
      On the 26th June, 2006, Lisa had a car crash on the way to work. She died shortly afterwards at the scene, in the company of of of the local residents who had Kindly come out to help.

      I take photos as a hobby when I can find the time.
      I also take photos of concerts for promotional purposes.
      Most of the photos on this website were taken by me.

      I design websites (including this one) with RapidWeaver software.
    • Database design
      I design and write databases using FileMaker software.
      This means I can run them on PCs and Macs as well as iOS devices.
